LWVE April Earth Day event: In Transition: Changing Priorities and Policies at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

All are welcome to celebrate Earth Day with LWV Edina. Our presenter, Georgina (Mimi) Guernica, J.D., will discuss President Biden’s climate change and environmental justice executive orders, the new administration’s support for science and transparency, and how all of this impacts the EPA.
Guernica, an environmental attorney, served over 32 years with the EPA before her retirement at the end of 2020, most recently as Associate Division Director, Program Implementation and Information Division, Office of Resource Conservation & Recovery, Office of Land and Emergency Management. In 2009-2010, Guernica served as Deputy Associate Director with the White House Council on Environmental Quality under President Obama.
