What’s Actually in the SAVE Act?

Our discussion guide will be the interactive explainer, “What’s Actually in the SAVE Act?”  The meeting will focus on the content of the legislation, how its provisions will affect voters (including those of us in the meeting), and what LWV members can do to help protect voting rights. Although at the moment the SAVE Act is stalled in Congress, state versions of the SAVE Act are being advanced across the U.S. Fourteen states now having laws that require Americans to produce proof of citizenship (chiefly a passport or birth certificate) to register to vote.
