Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You: Evening Event

Thursday, January 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Book Cover of Stamped by Ibram X. Kendi

Please join Edina Reads and LWVE for a book discussion of “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You.”  This book, written by Jason Reynolds, is a remix of Ibram X. Kendi’s National Book Award-winning “Stamped from the Beginning,” and reveals the history of racist ideas in America and inspires hope for an antiracist future. The event, hosted on Zoom, will begin with a presentation, move into breakout room discussions, and finish with information sharing with the whole audience.

The community — especially middle and high school students — are encouraged to read and participate in the book discussion. Thanks to a grant from the Edina Community Foundation, copies of the book are now available at the Edina Library Reference Desk, Edina High School Media Center, South View Media Center, and Valley View Media Center.

Notes:
  • This event is free and open to the public
  • This meeting will be via Zoom
  • Everyone, including LWVE members, who wishes to attend the discussion needs to register for the event
