Using Law and Science to Protect Minnesota’s Environment

Thursday, April 9 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

LWV Edina welcomes everyone to learn about current threats to Minnesota’s environment and climate, how the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy is working to respond to them, and how the members of the public can get involved.

Our presenter, Amelia Vohs, leads MCEA’s climate work and litigates clean energy cases, specializing in matters before the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and other state utility boards. A graduate of Coe College and Valparaiso University School of Law, Vohs worked on water policy and litigated factory farm and RCRA cases for the Hoosier Environmental Council before joining MCEA.

Gathering and Social at 9:45 a.m. followed by Presentation and Discussion at 10 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.
