April Book Club: Pachinko by Min Jin Lee

Pachinko chronicles four generations of an ethnic Korean family, first in Japanese-occupied Korea in the early 20th century, then in Japan itself from the years before World War II to the late 1980s. This book was a 2017 National Book Award finalist and selected as one of The New York Times Book Review’s 10 Best Books of 2017.

May Book Club: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

The classic American novel about life and issues larger than life in a small Southern town. It won the Pulitzer Prize in 1961 and was made into an equally classic film that won three Academy Awards.
