Ms. Youakim, who has been in the state legislature for nine years, represents District 46B which includes parts of Edina, St. Louis Park and Hopkins. Before being elected to state office she served nine years on the Hopkins City Council. She currently chairs the Education Finance Committee as well as sitting on the Education Policy, Taxes and Ways and Means Committees.

Mr. Streukens found his passion as an organizer while learning about climate change, democracy, and racial justice in greater Minnesota. He recently completed his Master’s in Advocacy and Political Leadership from Metro State University and is excited to continue growing his network and learning from advocates as the Civic Engagement Director for LWVMN.
