May 11 Special Election Information
On May 11th there will be a special school referendum to support Edina Public Schools, ISD 273. There are two items on the ballot: renewing the 10-year technology levy and approving a facilities bond. The League of Women Voters Edina (LWVE) supports a system of excellence in Edina’s public schools which is characterized by an adequate combination of both state and local revenue. LWVE is urging you to get informed and to Vote Yes and Yes on these critical funding issues. If the levy renewal does not pass, $6.5 million will be cut from the EPS budget in the first year alone. Cuts of this magnitude would have a devastating impact on every school in our community. You can find more information at Vote Yes EPS website and the Edina Public School website.
